Tracing the memories of the Year 2007
It was a close battle for the for the top spot
& Republic Polytechnic's Silat team, Selatra, was among the Top 3.
Winning 5 Golds, 2 Silver, 5 Bronze, they emerged as runner-up.
A tremendous improvement from 2006, they made us proud.
This year,

Be sure to catch the Invitational Silat Championship 2008 held in Republic Polytechnic!
Our warriors will aim to achieve the Overall Champion on solid home ground

MCG had a welcome tea organized for our dear beloved MCG members
Especially for the year ones
Thanks to all advisors for the help and support
To my dearest MCG Committee: YOU GUYS ARE THE BOMB!
To all friends who helped us in any way
With technicals and costumes and hair style and make ups
Most importantly, to ALL who attended
Without the presence of you guys,
The event wont be happening

What exactly happened on that day eh?
Well, basically the MCG Comm decided to do a performing act

Dearest MCG Members, and Alumnis too
The Malay Cultural Club of Ngee Ann Polytechnic (NPMCC) cordially invites you
(students and teachers) to their production entitled
“Mendongak ke Langit: Walau Sejengkal, Segunung Disemai”.
Mendongak Ke Langit is about how humankind, in this ever-changing world, are trying our very best to achieve everything in life, the ‘long-life learning’ policy that we hold on to yet knowing there’s always room for improvements and of whether we can, should or never be satisfied with what we have done for ourselves. Lessons are there to be learnt and such are the fact that we must always practice modesty, the fact that little efforts, when brought together can bring a whole great thing to the community; so, share the knowledge and together we move forward not only for ourselves but as a community.
This production is the staging of all the 5 departments of NPMCC; XPDTari (dance), SriNadi (drama), Cendikiawan (language) and Paduka & Adiratna (dikir barat). The colorful usage of contemporary dance is vividly expressed with a touch of cultural and traditional movements that make up the whole production. We believe that our production will not only help students to understand the message of the play but also to cultivate and appreciate arts through the collaboration of movements in dance and dikir barat, expression in drama and the recital of speeches in the different segments of the play.
The production will be on
this 14th June 2008, 6.15pm (to be seated) at LT 26.
Tickets are priced at $6 (incl. of GST).
