Sekilas Sedutan: Bahas 4PM! =)

Salam semua!
Okie.. now can finally start doing an update for the bahas event *rubs palms together* Pics received & uploaded, ahaa so here’s an entry to tag along yah~
So it was on a 2nd June Saturday afternoon when our RP team had to pit both their vocal and mental skills to the challenge!
"Pendedahan belajar di luar negara membentuk keperibadian global warga Singapura". Aduh.. sounds quite chim eh? >_< Definitely a tough fight there against the opposing Ngee Ann Polytechnic over at Toa Payoh Community Centre.
But… it was not all tension throughout the whole session though; still have those amusing moments from both sides too! The speeedy delivery of words at times (fuh.. lajuu~), the accidental tongue twisters (sampai Pendedahan leh jadik Pembedahan pulak.. hehe =D) and of course the interesting inputs of ideas from both groups. (:
Then.. Results was announced the next day and NP won the bahas. But sadly the two polys didn’t make it to the next round.. Tapi takpe, insyaAllah we’ll both make a comeback next year aite! And for our dear Pembahas ladies, deepest thanks for your willingness to come forward as our wakil ye! Am glad to witness you giving your best shot onstage. For that sign of bravery is already something to be proud of! (:

Endang, RP Dikir Barat team is under the care of Hairil Annuar, an experienced Dikir Barat-ist. He, together with Zulfadhli and Muhammad Nafis, has been with Endang since the very beginning. The 3 of them have been guiding Endang with determination,perseverance and vision. They aim to bring them to a greater height in Dikir Barat and bringing them out of their comfort zone. Coming from Cucu Datuk Merah, which was a champion group during the Piala Senandung Rakyat V organised by Andika Kencana and Yio Chu Kang CC, they are deemed as one of the best groups in Singapore. They also manage to win the title of “Potential Lyrics”during KGMS competition organizes by Malay Teachers’ Association Singapore. Hairil, not only is he capable of playing different positions, he is also able of writing songs, lyrics, choreographing and also percussion. With his experience, Endang will move forward to the future, with good vision and also greater achievements.

Mr. Ismail Ishak and wife Mdm Salmah from Silat Seni Gayong Pasak Singapura, we now have talented and potential silat exponents in the silat arena. Mr. Ismail Ishak is a 5 don black belt master and has been around in the Silat world for almost 30 years. He is graded a Class 1 World international wasit and jury and has been representing Singapore for various international duties in the Silat competition and was named top 3 international wasit jury.

Fathurrahman Said has been coaching Dharma.Repfuse since 2004.He began his basic Malay traditional dance training at People’s Association and Sriwana under the coaching of Mr Osman A.Hamid in 1985 and was actively involved in the Singapore Arts Festival, in core and fringe performances. With his own effort and realization, he went to Solo to broaden his knowledge of dance and movement and has infused it in his dance items. Under the wings of Mr Fathurrahman Said, Dharma Repfus3 has evolved into becoming one of the more recognised award-winning school in the Malay Dance Scene.
